The nation’s two largest professional associations in aging — the American Society on Aging (ASA) and the National Council on Aging (NCOA) — are collaborating to offer the 2007 Joint Conference titled “Let’s Rethink Aging.”
The conference will feature over 900 sessions covering a diverse range of topics in aging, with over 4,000 ASA and NCOA members and professionals attending.
This years theme of “Let’s Rethink Aging” speaks to the phenomenal growth of the older adult population in the United States, which is driving significant social and economic developments. In response to this transformation, past responses to aging and past perceptions of older adults no longer work. This year’s attendees will strive to reassess efforts to meet the needs of older adults and commit to a better future for elders.
