Immersion Active (ImmersionActive.com), the only internet marketing agency focused solely on marketing to baby boomers and seniors online, walked in solidarity to raise awareness and funds to enhance AlzheimerÍs care and support and advance critical research.
On Sunday, October 21, Immersion Active joined hundreds in the Frederick, MD community and walked three miles to honor those living with the disease and to memorialize the many lives lost. AlzheimerÍs disease is the sixth-leading cause of death in the nation, and the only cause of death among the top 10 in the United States that cannot be prevented, cured or even slowed. There are over 5 million Americans living with the disease and one in eight older Americans has the illness.
ñThe pain caused to families by Alzheimer’s is felt in the heart of many members of our team, through either caring for someone with the disease, or having lost someone to it,î says Jonathan Boehman, Chief Engagement Officer and co-founder of Immersion Active. ñOur work with Home Instead Senior Care has made the battle with Alzheimer’s top of mind even to team members who have not had to deal with it directly. This awareness really united us in our efforts to raise funds for the Walk to End AlzheimerÍs.”
The Alzheimer’s Association is the leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer’s research, care and support.
