AARP International, in partnership with the East West Center, will bring together non-governmental organizations concerned about a rapidly aging Asian population at Comm. The conference will allow participants to share strategies and practices for creating environments in which effective service, advocacy, and membership organizations for older citizens can be built and sustained.
AARP will provide modules on basic infrastructure issues including planning, budgeting, administration, legal issues, public and private advocacy, membership services, and social services. NGOs will have an opportunity to share their best practices and innovative ideas, while also raising their questions and concerns.
Community 50+ Asia will be the first step in a long-term process toward building capable partners for AARP on behalf of seniors throughout Asia.
