In times like these, it seems simply appropriate to ask questions like “what’s next?”
Immersion Active marketing strategist and partner David Weigelt will examine the latest trends and movements shaping the future of marketing to baby boomers at the sixth annual What’s Next Boomer Business Summit. The theme of this year’s summit is building value and getting results with a specific focus on the latest in digital marketing strategies to reach baby boomers.
Representing the only Internet marketing agency in the United States focused on the 50-plus markets, Weigelt will be featured on the “Reaching Boomers Online” panel discussion, during which he will delve into Immersion Active’s proprietary definition of online engagement specific to older adults.
“We’ve taken the elusive marketing buzzword of engagement and made sense of it for older adults,” Weigelt said. “It sounds like a simple task, but our definition – meaningful online engagement – is a comprehensive analysis of the biological and psychological motivators of boomers and seniors’ online behavior.”
Joining Weigelt on the panel is Bill Leake, CEO of Apogee Search, and Joe Cannella, senior account manager for Google Media Services.
Weigelt will also be attending the summit with Immersion Active partner and creative director Jonathan Boehman to promote their first book, titled Dot Boom: Marketing to Baby Boomers Online through Meaningful Online Engagement.
“Dot Boom merges our concept of meaningful online engagement with a developmental marketing approach,” Boehman explained. “It’s a powerful combination that will enable marketers to produce profitable and lasting relationships between their brands and boomer and senior consumers.”
The What’s Next Boomer Business Summit will take place March 19 at Bally’s Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. For more information, visit www.boomersummit.com.
