Joe Ford, Immersion Active’s director of interactive marketing, received the Award of Achievement in Web Analytics from the University of British Columbia and the Web Analytics Association.
This award is given to graduates of a Web analytics program offered through the University of British Columbia. The program teaches students how to measure traffic to a website and optimize the effectiveness of the site’s content, navigation, and structure, all of which improve the customer experience on the site. Offered completely online, the program attracts students worldwide, from countries including Australia, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, and the United Kingdom.
"To be honest, I had no idea how involved this program was going to be," Ford said. "But that’s a great thing. Analyzing Web metrics is crucial to the success of any the campaigns we develop for our clients."
As the first online course in Web analytics, the program has had enormous success. Senior marketing executives from Fortune 500 companies publicly credit this program for their marketing achievements online.
"We encourage all of our employees to consistently seek out continuing education and training opportunities," Immersion Active partner David Weigelt said. "We could be more honored with this recognition for Joe."
