Immersion Active, the only Internet marketing agency in the United States focused solely on the 50-plus markets, welcomed two new employees, Joe Ford and Caroline Lewis, to its staff this Spring.
Joe Ford joined Immersion Active as its director of interactive marketing. His duties will revolve around developing strategic Internet marketing plans that include search engine optimization tactics, pay-per-click campaigns, media planning and buying, affiliate advertising, and viral marketing strategies. His strength is in Web analytics, which will help Immersion Active better track and analyze online marketing campaigns that target mature audiences.
Joe previously founded the Mindworks Learning Institute in Frederick, Maryland where he served a number of roles, including president and Web analyst. He is the author of "Union Manufacturing Company" and "Domestic Violence in the Workplace: A Guide for Managers." Joe has a bachelor’s degree from Mount St. Mary’s College and a master’s degree in social work from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.
Joe currently resides in downtown Frederick with his wife. His is an avid basketball and tennis player. (At 6’6", he ought to be!)
Caroline Lewis joined Immersion Active as a project coordinator after eight years at FNC, Inc., where her duties included project support, client training and support, and employee training. She will lend that expertise to Immersion Active as she tests Web and database applications, develops training manuals, and supports clients. With a keen eye for usability and design, Caroline will ensure that each project is optimized for older users online.
Caroline has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Mississippi.
She also resides in downtown Frederick with her husband, son, and two dogs. Despite her currently broken finger, Caroline’s favorite hobbies are painting and making jewelry.
