IBS 2019 Recap

In February, Immersion Active had the opportunity to attend NAHB’s annual International Builders’ show which took place in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The three-day event was held from February 19th to the 21st and was filled with thousands (over 70k) of energized attendees ready to learn from industry experts and explore the expo filled with exciting new home technology products.

Although the show may have officially begun on Tuesday the 19th, some of our team members arrived Sunday, as this launched two days of NAHB board, council, and committee meetings.

We are active in the Professional  Women in Building Council, where Betsy Sheppard serves as  2019 Council Vice Chair and Board of Trustee Member, and the 55+ Housing Council as members of the Membership, Editorial and Research sub-committees.

Representing Immersion Active at the event were seven team members that presented during the week on best practices in marketing for the home industry.

The week also included time for celebration. Tuesday night during IBS week the 55+ Housing Awards ceremony took place. We shared a toast with our clients Noble’s Pond, The Springs of Mill Lakes and Jim Chapman Communities who all won 55+ Housing Awards in various categories with projects we contributed to.

Additionally, our very own Betsy Sheppard was recognized during the week as
NAHB’s Professional Women in Building, Woman of the Year!

We left IBS 2019 excited and well-informed with what’s to come in the housing industry this year. We’re already counting down the days until next year (292 days!).
