David Weigelt is President and CEO of Immersion Active, a digital marketing agency focused solely on the 50-plus markets. Since then, his company has become the leading authority on marketing to Boomers and seniors online with clients like AARP, Del Webb, and Home Instead Senior Care. David and his team’s strategic campaigns are directly responsible for over $1 billion in successful online transactions.
David is also the co-author of Dot Boom: Marketing to Baby Boomers Through Meaningful Online Engagement, a book praised by executives at Microsoft, PBS and Humana for its innovative mix of “behavioral theory and cutting edge Internet marketing strategy”.
David sees himself as just one part of a very important ecosystem with a very important mission—changing the face of aging. As such, David’s contributions include Silver Tsunami, the leading ebrief on the mature markets; Reach50plus, a multi-disciplinary marketplace for mature market services; the IMMN webinar series; as well as speaking nationally and internationally on the topic of marketing to boomers and seniors. He was a founding board member of the International Mature Marketing Network (IMMN) and is an active member of The Society, an international group of thought leaders on aging.
Jonathan has been excited about online user experiences since the days of dial-up. He co-founded Immersion Active in 1998 to deliver the types of experiences he felt were lacking online. In 2005, he saw an even greater need with how underserved the baby boomer and senior markets were online and how disenfranchised they were by online marketing.
Under Jonathan’s creative and strategic direction, Immersion Active’s “Meaningful Online Engagement Model” is applied to lead nurture, lead retention, and lead- and demand-generation campaigns. His work has been recognized locally, regionally, nationally and internationally by organizations such as The Webbys, the Mature Market Media Awards, Print Magazine, and the American Advertising Federation.
As co-author of Dot Boom, Jonathan has spoken at mature market events such as the Focalyst Executive Forum and the Caregiver Summit, as well as to marketing industry groups like regional American Advertising Federation (AAF) clubs, and has judged for prestigious awards shows such as the Effies.
